Sobald wir genug Spendengeld für unsere StudentInnen generiert haben, werden wir BÄUME pflanzen auf 4000-4500 m ü.M.  
 

Ladakh ist eines der höchstgelegenen, bewohnten Gebiete im westlichen Himalaya. Die Menschen der TSA lebten seit Generationen im Winter bei minus 30 Grad ohne Heizung.

Durch die Klimaveränderung ist der Winter einige Grad wärmer. Mehrere Bäume "überlebten" auf 4000-4500 m ü.M. in den letzten 3 Jahren.

Projektverantwortliche Ladakhis haben einen 5 Jahresplan zum Bäume pflanzen ausgearbeitet.

Die meisten BewohnerInnen reagierten positiv und möchten bei der Umsetzung mithelfen. 

StudentInnen begleiten das Projekt als Lernsituation. Die verantwortilchen Familien werden regelmässig besucht und bei Fragen unterstützt.
 

 
 
Trans Singela Area Rural Fruit Plant Project
 

Background of Area Villages

 

Topographically, Trans Singela Area Villages are situated at high altitude (about 4300 MSL) in the mountainous terrain, hilly area, tribal, backward and rural in the entire region of Ladakh Himalaya, India. The entire area remains cut off from other parts of the region in winter season due to heavy snow bounced in the region.

Trans Singela Area consists of rural villages like: Lingshed, Dipling, Jingchan, Kartsey, Skumpata, Gongma, Yulchung and Neraks. This area has about 300 households, one big monastery, nunnery and schools with more than 1340 citizens living.
 

Living Conditions and Health

Over the centuries, the people are farmers depend on agriculture farming with limited crops barely, pea and wheat and livestock yak, sheep, goat and horse for simple livelihood and dwelling. There is no other local resource to generate additional income for better health.  

 

The general health of people in rural area is poor due to lack of fruits and nutritious food. Health is an important for everyone to live on this planet. Good health provides mentally and physically strong balance for development of day life activity, education, farm-activity, trade, social-activity and community work.

 
 
Ladakh-Partners 5 Years Vision Plan

It says that an apple for a day keeps a doctor away. But, over the centuries, the people/farmers have no experience and no knowledge to grow the fruits plants in rural Trans Singela Area villages. So Ladakh-Partners Association has aims and objectives of 5 years vision plan to provide the fruit plants and to product fruits for the purpose of better health conditions and economic income sources to make sustainable development of long term benefits for the inhabitants of Trans Singela Area villages in Ladakh Himalaya.

  
 
Aims and Objectives of Rural Project

Association aims to promote the fruit plants product for sustainable development of economic income sources for rural farmer livelihood & health improvement. Its main objectives are:

·         Association provides fruit-house, fruit plants and transportation charge;

·         Beneficiary/farmer collaborates land, cooperation, maintenance and manufacture;

·         Rural youth/students cooperate with farmers for project success and

·         Students organize fruit plan awareness campaign in rural village.

The global warming slowly brings change the hardship climate conditions in high altitude areas. The farmers can grow different types of fruit plants are possible:

Ladakh-Partners Terms and Conditions

Association provides a set of fruit-house plan for interested beneficiaries for long term sustainable development products. Association provides a fruit-house structure use with local warm-suitable materials, fruit plants and transportation charge. The responsibility of farmer/ beneficiary is to contribute land, foundation labour, maintenance and manufacture part.

Students’ Aspiration and Participation

The rural students gradually overcome their lack of confidence. The educated youth have true aspiration for community welfare social activities to promote their villages culturally, socially, economically, and spiritually for next generation. They have different skilful activities to guide the rural farmers in respect of sustainable eco-development for future income sources.

Utilization of Funds

The Funds will be spent only for purposed specified in this proposal. The accounts of funds received for this project will be maintained separately and verified by the project committee members. Funds will be used exclusively for purposes specified by the sponsor and donor.

Annual Report of Project

Donors/Sponsors are required to specify clearly the purpose of their volunteer donation. The donors will receive an official receipt and Annual Report activities and progress. The funds will be fairly utilized within a period of one year from the receipt of funds.
